The father-son team of Brian and Joe Leonard is founding BVL Boxing Solutions NFP in memory of their late son and brother who had a passion for boxing. Brian Victor Leonard had a love for boxing. For Brian it was a way to get a good work out, and cope with the stress and pressure of daily life. It was his favorite type of workout. And he was good at it. He loved the personal challenge of getting better at something every day.

 

Brian also had a natural inclination of empathy for others. He spent his spare time in his youth as a volunteer teaching boxing to the "kids in crisis" at the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. He wanted to share his gifts and talents, and what made him a better person, with others. Despite his own personal battles his greatest joy was passing on his love of boxing by teaching others the skills and strategies he learned particularly to the youth. Sadly, Brian recently lost his own battle with addiction. Although his own life ended far too early, we hope to continue the work that he loved. Although Brian is no longer with us, we are committed to continuing his passion for boxing and his love for others through the BVL Boxing Solutions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We hope to continue Brian’s legacy and build on it. We want to create an affirming environment accessible to anyone who wants to effect positive change in their life by changing destructive behaviors. We want to create a sanctuary for hope where anyone can go to find mutual support and affirmation with others who share the love for boxing and physical activity. BVL Boxing Solutions heals addiction through mutual strength support, and affirmation.

 

While it is primarily a place of healing for those battling addiction, BVL Boxing Solutions welcomes anyone looking for a good workout, or simply friends who share a common interest. Brian and Joe Leonard aren’t just passing on Brian’s love of boxing. Greater than his passion for boxing, was his love for others and his desire to make others’ lives better despite his own struggles and imperfections. Brian had a deep love for others, particularly those who felt the most vulnerable. He loved others too much to allow them to endure the pain he felt. That’s why we are creating the BVL Boxing Solutions. We’re going to create it as a place where anyone can go, when they feel the need for support and affirmation through a great workout in the company of others who also struggle with overcoming destructive behaviors.

 

BVL Boxing Solutions is a place of solace and reassurance. It provides a reliable positive, life- giving environment of support through a good physical work-out and the camaraderie of sport and competition with oneself or with another. BVL Boxing Solutions is a place where chaos turns into calm and confusion turns into clarity.
